Valentina is a Senior Associate at Mutual Value Labs. She has more than 10 years of experience in sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues. She has worked extensively with the private sector, focusing on sustainability strategy development, compliance, risk management, and disclosure requirements.

Throughout her career, she has built a diverse and interdisciplinary profile, bridging between academia, international organizations, NGOs, and think tanks. Before joining Mutual Value Labs, Valentina worked at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), where she worked closely with the food and retail industries. Her work created initiatives aimed at decoupling business operations from harmful practices such as deforestation and overfishing across supply chains. In addition, she also offered her expertise as a freelance consultant, developing methodologies to assess exposure to ESG risks, and conduct double materiality assessment for sustainability reporting.

Valentina holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from the Geneva Graduate Institute. During her time at the Institute, she also worked as a teaching assistant, teaching statistics, network analysis, and quantitative methods to master's and Ph.D. students.
